Our Fit Guarantee: Free Alterations & Remake Policy Explained

You're investing $590-800 in a custom suit.

What if the sleeves are too long?
What if the shoulders don't sit right?
What if there's a defect?

Here's our answer: We fix it. Period.

30-day fit guarantee. Free alterations. Defect coverage. No hassle process.

This is what a lifetime of Bangkok tailoring heritage looks like—we stand behind every garment.

What's Covered Under the 30-Day Guarantee?

Within 30 days of delivery, we cover these adjustments at no charge:

Minor Fit Adjustments

  • Sleeve length: ±1 inch (cuff adjustments, button repositioning)
  • Trouser hem: ±1.5 inches (length adjustments, cuff addition/removal)
  • Waist: ±0.5 inch (side seam adjustments)
  • Button repositioning: Jacket or trouser buttons moved for better closure

These are the most common post-delivery tweaks. Bodies change. Preferences shift. We get it.

Two Ways to Get Alterations

Option 1: Local Tailor Reimbursement (Recommended)

Get it fixed locally, we reimburse up to $30.

How it works:
1. Visit any local tailor
2. Get the adjustment done (keep the receipt)
3. Email receipt + photos to support@linensuit.shop
4. We reimburse within 48 hours via original payment method

Why this option? Speed. You don't wait weeks for international shipping. Most sleeve/hem adjustments cost $15-25 locally.

Option 2: Ship Back to Bangkok

We fix it ourselves at no cost to you.

How it works:
1. Email support@linensuit.shop with photos + description
2. We send prepaid return shipping label
3. You ship garment back to Bangkok
4. We adjust and return (2-3 weeks total)
5. We cover all shipping costs

When to use this: Major adjustments that require our master tailors (shoulder repositioning, jacket reconstruction).

Defect Policy: We Stand Behind Our Work

Manufacturing defects are covered with no questions asked.

What's Covered

  • Stitching issues: Loose seams, unraveling threads, poor construction
  • Fabric flaws: Tears, pulls, discoloration (from manufacturing, not wear)
  • Construction problems: Misaligned patterns, incorrect specifications from approved draft

How to Request Defect Coverage

Step 1: Contact us within 7 days of delivery
- Email: support@linensuit.shop
- Include: Order number, photos of defect, description

Step 2: We review within 24-48 hours
- Our team inspects photos
- Determines coverage (manufacturing defect vs. normal wear)

Step 3: We fix it
- Option A: Repair (if fixable, 2-3 weeks)
- Option B: Remake (if unfixable, 4-6 weeks)
- Option C: Refund (rare, our choice based on severity)

Step 4: We cover return shipping if defect confirmed

What's NOT Covered

  • ❌ Normal wear and tear (6+ months of use)
  • ❌ Damage from improper care (machine washing linen suits, etc.)
  • ❌ Alterations by third-party tailors (unless pre-approved)
  • ❌ Fit variations from measurements YOU provided (but draft fitting prevents this—see below)

Why Can't Custom Suits Be Returned?

The reality of custom tailoring:

Custom garments are made specifically to your measurements. Once cut, they can't be resold to other customers. The fabric and labor are invested for you alone.

This is industry standard. Savile Row doesn't accept returns. Articles of Style doesn't accept returns. No reputable custom tailor does.

BUT—here's why you're protected anyway:

Draft Fitting Eliminates 95% of Fit Issues

Most online tailors take your measurements, cut expensive fabric, and hope for the best. If the fit is wrong, you're stuck.

We do the opposite.

How Draft Fitting Protects You

Step 1: Test Garment Sent First
- We create a draft in inexpensive fabric
- Shipped to you (2-3 weeks)
- Try it on at home, no pressure

Step 2: You Give Feedback
- Too tight in chest? We note it.
- Sleeves too short? We adjust pattern.
- Shoulders need repositioning? We rebuild.

Step 3: Virtual Consultation
- WhatsApp, email, or video call
- We confirm adjustments
- Pattern perfected based on YOUR body

Step 4: Final Fabric Cut ONLY After Approval
- You approve the draft fit
- Then—and only then—we cut your premium fabric
- Your final garment matches the approved draft

Real Scenario Comparison

WITHOUT DRAFT FITTING:
- Customer orders $800 suit
- Suit arrives with shoulders too wide, sleeves too short
- Alterations can't fix structural issues (shoulders require full reconstruction)
- Customer stuck with unusable garment
- Tailor offers refund or remake (both lose trust)

WITH DRAFT FITTING:
- Customer receives draft garment
- Notices shoulders slightly wide, sleeves 0.5 inch short
- We adjust pattern before cutting final fabric
- Final garment arrives perfectly fitted
- Zero risk, zero waste

Why Draft Fitting Works

Bodies are asymmetric:
- One shoulder higher than the other
- One arm longer
- Posture affects fit (forward lean, straight back)

Measurements alone can't capture this. You need to SEE the garment on the body.

Draft fitting reveals:
- How fabric drapes on YOUR frame
- Where adjustments are needed
- Personal fit preferences (snug vs. relaxed)

Statistics from our customers:
- 95% approve draft with zero or minor adjustments
- 5% need pattern revisions (caught before final production)
- 0% stuck with unwearable final garments

Draft fitting is your insurance policy.

What Else Isn't Covered (But Reasonable)

We're transparent about limitations:

Measurement Errors You Provided

If you submit incorrect measurements (chest 38" when it's actually 42"), the draft will reveal this. We'll adjust the pattern before final production at no charge.

But: If you approve the draft fit and THEN claim measurements were wrong after final delivery, that's not covered. The draft was your chance to verify.

Style Preference Changes After Approval

If you approve a notch lapel during draft fitting, then decide you want peak lapel after final delivery, that's a remake (charged separately).

Draft fitting is when you finalize style choices.

Weight Gain/Loss After Delivery

If you gain or lose significant weight (5+ lbs) after delivery, the fit will change. We offer discounted remakes for returning customers, but it's not covered under the guarantee.

Your pattern is stored for life—reordering is easy.

Our Commitment to You

24-hour response time to all inquiries (support@linensuit.shop, WhatsApp)

No hassle alteration process — Email photos, we approve, you get it fixed or ship it back

We prioritize satisfaction over margins — We'd rather spend $30 on local tailor reimbursement than lose your trust

Pattern stored for lifetime reorders — Once perfected, reorder anytime with proven fit

WhatsApp support for quick questions during fitting process

Why We Can Offer This Guarantee

Draft fitting prevents expensive mistakes.

Most tailors skip draft fitting to save costs. Then they deal with fit disasters through refunds, remakes, and lost customers.

We do the opposite. We'd rather spend $20-30 on a test garment than remake a $650 suit.

Bangkok's cost structure makes it sustainable.

Lower overhead and no retail markup means we can include draft fitting and generous alterations coverage without inflating prices to $3,000+ like Savile Row or New York tailors.

Same European fabrics. Same hand-stitched quality. Better economics.

Reputation matters more than one sale.

This is a lifetime of Bangkok tailoring heritage. My father built his reputation by standing behind every garment he made for US Navy officers at Sofitel Hua Hin.

I continue those same standards.
