You've found the perfect suit. Maybe it was in a movie scene that stuck with you. Perhaps you saved it from Instagram months ago. Or you spotted someone on the street and thought, "That's exactly what I want."
Then comes the frustrating part: searching online, scrolling through endless product pages, and realizing no one sells exactly what you're looking for. Most people settle for "close enough." But you don't have to.
Here's what most online suit buyers don't realize: when you order from a real tailor, you're not limited to what's on the website.
Why Websites Show Limited Options
Every online suit store faces the same challenge. Photographing products takes time. Managing inventory is complex. Showing every possible combination would create overwhelming pages with thousands of options.
So they simplify. They show their bestsellers. They display popular colors and standard styles. What you see represents a fraction of what's actually possible.
Our curated collection works the same way—it's a starting point, not a limit. Behind every product page is a team of master tailors who can create far more than what's displayed. The website shows you options. Our tailors make your vision real.
What We Can Actually Create
Style Recreation
Send us a reference from anywhere:
- Movie and TV suits - Want Tommy Shelby's three-piece from Peaky Blinders? The sharp look from Suits? A James Bond-inspired dinner jacket? Send us screenshots.
- Instagram and Pinterest - That saved post you keep coming back to? Forward it our way.
- Magazine editorials - Snap a photo of that GQ spread you've been eyeing.
- Something you saw in person - Even a description works. "I saw a guy at a wedding wearing..." Tell us what stood out.
Fabric Requests
Our collection shows specific colors and patterns, but options extend much further:
- Different colors than what's displayed
- Specific weights - lighter for summer, heavier for winter
- Patterns not in collection - wider pinstripes, different check sizes, unique textures
- Premium upgrades - specific mills like VBC, Drago, or John & Taylor
Feature Customization
Beyond our standard configurator options:
- Lapel styles - specific widths, shapes, or vintage details
- Unique buttons - horn, mother of pearl, metal, fabric-covered
- Custom lining - meaningful dates, sports team colors, wedding monograms
- Functional details - extra interior pockets, specific vent styles, working cuff buttons
Full Custom Design
Have something completely unique in mind? We work with:
- Written descriptions
- Rough sketches
- Mood boards
- Multiple reference photos showing different elements you want combined
How to Submit a Custom Request
Step 1: Gather Your Inspiration
Start collecting what you like:
- Screenshot from a movie or show
- Save that Instagram or Pinterest post
- Snap a photo from a magazine
- Write down a detailed description
Multiple angles help. If you have several references showing different aspects, save them all.
Step 2: Pick a Starting Point
Browse our collection and find a product close to your vision. It doesn't need to match exactly—just something in the right category. Looking to recreate a three-piece suit? Start with any three-piece product. Want a specific blazer style? Find a blazer that's roughly similar.
This gives our tailors a foundation to work from and ensures proper pricing for the garment type.
Step 3: Use the Customizer
Open the product and go to "Personalize." Here's where it gets flexible:
For any option you want customized beyond what's shown, leave it on "I'll decide later - Contact me to personalize" (this is the default selection). Only select specific options when you're certain about them.
This signals to our team exactly which details need discussion.
Step 4: Complete Your Order
After you place the order, email your reference photos to support@linensuit.shop. Include:
- Your order number
- All reference images
- Any specific details you want highlighted
- The occasion (wedding, work, casual) so we can advise appropriately
Step 5: We'll Reach Out
Within 6-24 hours, our team contacts you to:
- Review your reference and request
- Identify fabric matches
- Discuss any modifications needed
- Provide detailed quote for any differences
- Answer your questions
Nothing moves forward until you approve the plan.
The Process: From Request to Reality
Initial Consultation (Day 1-2)
We review everything you've sent. Our team identifies the closest fabric matches, discusses construction details, and creates a plan. You receive a detailed quote if anything differs from standard pricing.
Confirmation and Measurements
Once you approve the plan, you submit measurements. This follows the same process as standard orders—our measurement guide walks you through it, or you can use our pattern service if you have a well-fitting garment.
Production
Your suit enters our standard quality process:
- Draft fitting - We create a test garment in plain fabric
- Your feedback - Review photos and request any adjustments
- Final garment - Cut and constructed with your approved changes
This draft fitting process is what separates proper bespoke from gambling on measurements. It's included with every order.
Delivery
Timeline depends on complexity:
- Standard custom requests: 4-6 weeks
- Complex recreations: 6-8 weeks
- Special fabric sourcing: Add 1-2 weeks
We confirm expected delivery before production begins.
Real Examples From Our Customers
The Beach Wedding Vision
A customer sent a Pinterest photo: navy suit with burgundy lining, but he needed lightweight fabric for a destination wedding. We sourced CAVANI navy linen, matched the burgundy silk lining, and adjusted the lapel width to match his reference. Result: perfect beach wedding suit, exactly as envisioned.
The Movie Recreation
A Peaky Blinders fan wanted the Tommy Shelby look. He sent screenshots from multiple episodes. We identified the fabric type (heavy tweed), matched the peak lapels, sourced similar cloth, and created the full three-piece with period-accurate details.
The Fabric Hunter
A customer found his dream fabric on an Italian brand's website—attached to a $3,500 suit. He loved the green windowpane wool but not the price. We sourced similar fabric from our mill contacts and made his full suit for $750.
Description Only
No reference photo—just words: "I want a summer suit that looks effortless but sharp, something I can wear without a tie to work events." We recommended an unstructured linen blazer, suggested three color options, sent fabric swatches, and created exactly what he described.
Pricing Transparency
Standard custom requests usually cost the same as catalog items. We're not charging extra for flexibility—that's just tailoring.
When pricing differs:
- Premium fabric sourcing (specific mills) = fabric cost difference only
- Complex construction (unusual details) = quoted upfront
- Rush timeline = expedited options available
Our commitment: No surprises. Full quote before you commit. You approve everything before production starts.
